Are your people asking the right
questions? In a recent review meeting our client was exploring
possible responses to their top salesman's question: "What can I do
to make more money?" I.e. what can I do different to be more
successful. The team lamented that of the 75 salesmen in the
company, the top salesman was the only one who ever asked that question.
The focus of the discussion shifted to getting the rest of the sales
team to ask the same question. It made an immediate difference.
Polaroid's Eastman Land was asked by
his three year old daughter Jennifer why she couldn't see the picture
right then and there after he took the snapshot. His answer was
the creation of the original Polaroid instant camera.
